I am Dr. Paine youngest brother. His work is amazing and the family could not be prouder of what he has accomplished throughout the years. And "yes" to some degree I am jealous of that "rad" beard.

Thanks Jeff! I got the kit back in November, plus a few modifiers, and if you want my opinion, it's one of the best buys I've made! It doesn't come with the speedring. You have to buy one for each light separately, but it's well worth the cost if you want access to the Elinchrom modifier range! They make a nice 15" softbox for the Quadra's themselves, sans adapter, and I'm getting one soon for smaller application...

Great post. I'm inspired once again. Looking hard at the Quadra unit. Did you get the kit and does it come with a speedring for an Octa or softbox?
