I was stoked when they announced the tethering feature as internet connections back home and in Mexico (at least the border areas where I am photographing fishing a lot more now) is pretty much non existent. unfortunately, two of the things you mention - MMS and tethering - seem to not be supported by AT&T for the iPhone...yet. Hopefully, they will get their act together and make this available. I know I would greatly gain from these two features. totally agree.
