All of these recent thunderstorms that I haven’t been able to shoot much of has reminded me of a couple nights in Junction this past May and of the storms we photographed while in West Texas. The Chihuahuan Desert looks beautiful under a sky full of electricity!

We’re (the Badlands Team) wrapping up our next publication, Working Dogs of Texas, which is due out early Fall 2009. This is going to be such a great book, highlighting several facets of dogs that have important jobs in Texas. The images (Wyman Meinzer) accompany the text (Henry Chappell) with such strength, we hope this book is widely accepted. If you know any hunter, rancher, policeman, firefighter, therapist, or just plain ole dog lover, this is the book for them!

Well, this is a quick one. I’l leave you with one more image from Junction and all that lightning we shot! I’ll have more soon when the book is off to pre-press, especially about a few upcoming articles in some pretty neat publications! Take care…

Awesome photos. Reminds me of the movie Lonesome Dove.
