
Long weekend, or it seemed like it. Started off photographing one of the top musical groups in the state, The Band of Heathens. These guys are great musicians and songwriters, and I believe they are at the top of the Americana chart at the time of this posting. If you get a chance, check them out, they are definitely worth watching!
Shooting concerts are always tons of fun, and as long as you expose for the light (for the majority), you can come up with a multitude of interesting and impactful shots. It’s always important to pay close attention to everything going on, whether it be the entire movement of the band, or focusing on the strings on a guitar, or sometimes the shoes of the performers (believe me, if musicians are wearing shoes, they are interesting forms of footwear)! Here are a few out-takes from the show.
