Alright, new news (that’s why they call it news)! Alright, many of you may know, I am a partner in a design and publishing firm called Badlands Design and Production. With this business, we create, communicate, and market products, as well as pushing ourselves into the book publishing industry.

We’re announcing our first publication, Inspiration Texas Style! This book is a culmination of photographs, taken by Texas State Photographer, Wyman Meinzer, and quotes from a variety of contributors expressing their sentiment toward the Lone Star State! Wyman has been a long-time friend and mentor, and to work with him on this project was a stepping-stone experience, and one that is to continue!

The book is definitely a colorful, encompassing look at Texas, and the introduction is authored by John Graves, a legend in Texas natural history and the writing industry! I’m actually reading his well-known book, Texas Rivers, and I definitely recommend it as a staple in the Texas library.

The book is available for pre-order (it will be available for shipping October, 2008), and every order through Badlands Blue Star Publications (the name of the press), comes signed by Wyman! Just to fill you in on a little behind Badlands Design and Production, we began operating about a year and a half ago as a specialty design and video production unit. Sylinda Meinzer and I started the business together as a way to market our talents to provide unique services to those needing signature style in communication output media! I can’t tell you how fortunate I am to be working with Wyman and Sylinda, two of the most influential people in my life, personally and professionally! There is much planned for down the road, and much from where we’ve been, and I’ll keep everyone informed.
